In urban areas with severe smoggy weather, fog cannons can reduce the concentration of smog in the air by spraying water. It sprays water mist into the air. The water molecules in the water mist combine with the tiny particles in the haze, increasing the particle size of the haze particles and thus accelerating their sedimentation.
In some cities, during severe pollution, fog cannons are installed in major traffic arteries, industrial parks and other areas prone to smog as temporary emergency measures to improve local air quality.
